The
gross building size is 67,791 square
feet, with three floors averaging 16,942
square feet and a 16,964 square foot
basement. The basement has underground
parking with 20 spaces, approximately
5,000 square feet of storage space,
a 1,000 square foot conference/training
room, and a 400 square foot break room.
An elevator and three staircases services
each floor, as well as the basement.
The building is extremely economical
due to its efficient use of space with
each floor utilizing three points of
access with two of the staircases located
outside of the building envelope.
The
exterior is comprised of three basic
construction materials, brick, pre-cast
concrete and glass, offering different
perspectives from varying distances.
Red brick veneer will be used throughout
the first and second floors to frame
and accent the pre-cast concrete spandrel
panels. Expansive use of glass, especially
on the first and third floors, allows
natural light to penetrate into the
interior of the building. Pre-cast
concrete architectural columns also
offer vertical separation between window
bays that coincide with the building’s
structural steel framing. An arch shaped
standing seam roof resting on bowstring
trusses tops off the three-story entry
that has a self-supporting helix staircase.
The staircase offers views through
a curtain wall window system extending
from the ground to the roof in the
entry space. |
