Unique Downtown Madison Renovation
STEVENS CONSTRUCTION CORP. HEADING UP UNIQUE RENOVATION OF HISTORICAL DOWNTOWN MADISON BUILDING
MADISON, WIS. (May 27, 2009) - Construction is currently underway to renovate an 84-year old building, located at 408 West Gorham Street in downtown Madison, into Brickhouse BBQ with new dining and bar facilities on three separate levels. Given the historical nature of the building, Stevens Construction Corp. is restoring the facade, while retrofitting the entire 11,430 square foot interior, including construction of an addition at the rear of the building to house a full-service kitchen.
As a result, Brickhouse BBQ is literally the construction of a brand new building within the outside walls of an existing one. "Making this project a reality in a landmark building downtown is a complicated and interesting challenge, one that really showcases the versatility and talent of our people," says Mark Rudnicki, CEO and Treasurer of Stevens Construction. "It's a great project to be a part of, and we are very excited to lend our expertise in this collaborative effort with the developer."
Opening in the fall of 2009, Brickhouse BBQ will not only offer a new dining experience for Madison, but provide jobs and service and supply needs which will help boost the city's economy.
